Back in April, Invincible Pictures announced it had picked up distribution rights forKevin Smith’s second installment of his True North Trilogy,Yoga Hosers, which is set to hit theaters July 29. Before the theatrical release, it was revealed that the director will hit the road with a summer tour, bringing this movie all across the country for early screenings, which kicks off today in New Orleans. Thefirst trailerwas released last month, but now that the tour is starting tonight, we have the first poster and a new photo, featuring starsHarley Quinn SmithandLily-Rose Depp, the daughters ofKevin Smithand their co-starJohnny Depp.

Just before the release date was announced,Kevin Smithscored another big victory with the MPAA, who had originally givenYoga Hosersan R rating, but overturned their own ruling and gave the filmmaker aPG-13 rating, without an official appeal. The director had previously won appeals forClerksandZack and Miri Make a Porno, which were both originally given an NC-17 rating, but given anR ratingupon appeal.
TheYoga Hosers tourwill continue with a June 2 stop at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Ponte Vedra, Florida. The tour continues on June 6 at the Houston Improv in Houston, Texas, followed by a screening at the Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse in Columbus, Ohio on June 12. The final three dates of the tour are July 8 at The Carolina Theatre in Durham, North Carolina, July 12 at The Improv in San Jose, California and July 17 at the Cobbs Comedy Club in San Francisco, California.
Back in September,Kevin Smithteased that his final True North movie,Moose Jaws, could feature the death of his beloved on-screen character Silent Bob. The actor/director is expected to make sequelsClerks IIIandMallrats 2in the near future as well, and since both those movies featured both Jay and Silent Bob, we’ll have to see if they’ll both be back for those sequels.
