It was clear right away that they had the same expectations for life. They wanted to get married, have children, live in a white picket-fenced house, and enjoy family life together.Well, they did get married, but after that, everything went downhill at lightning speed.
While a couple’s honeymoon is supposed to be filled with celebrating each other’s love and indulging in the time they now share together, Eric and Rosa’s post-wedding trip turned violent. Barely arrived at their destination, a fight broke out between them, leading to Rosa revealing an entirely new side of her. Fueling the heated conversation, which was more one-sided than anything else,Rosa crossed a line and punched Eric in the face. Flabbergasted byhis wife’s violence,he ignored the massive red flag and moved on, as he was committed to his marriage. Unfortunately, the harassment continued after that. After Seemona’s father unexpectedly passed away, she felt like she couldn’t talk to anyone. When a handsome cop visited her restaurant, though, attracted to her and offered his help and ear, her world turned upside down. Their relationship was filled with laughter and support as he continued to be a helping hand in her restaurant while also following hisjob as a police officerand detective. However, one phone call shattered Seemona’s relationship. A woman contacted her and revealed to Seemona thatJerry was actually her husband, that they had two children together, and that he was lying about his job. Seemona, swallowing down her rage and trying to keep it civil, ended their relationship right away.

First and foremost, finding out he was already married and seemingly still staying at her place should have been the biggest red flag ever. Apart from that,Jerry kept his two kids a secret from Seemona, and it even turned out that he was never actually a cop or detective but just pretended to be one. Knowing that he was walking around with a gun, even though he wasn’t a real police officer, and the fact that he lied about his whole life are two major red flags. When it was time to finally return the keys to Seemona, he snapped and became violent.
Her Husband Bodyshamed Her During Pregnancy
Another story recounted in theNetflix Top 10series is that of Amanda and her ex-husband, Kevin. Their relationship started somewhat similar to the other ones mentioned previously. They met when they were still relatively young, but they got along right away. Her family, except for her sister, who believed him to be arrogant and strange, immediately took him in. After asking Amanda’s father for permission to get married, the two tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony, and it didn’t take long until their first child was born. Two more children followed, and while Kevin, who rarely showed any affection, was mesmerized when he became a father, he let out his anger at Amanda.
During one of her pregnancies, Kevin revealed an extremely problematic side of himself, but Amanda, unfortunately, overlooked the massive red flag and played it down.He would lash out at her and constantly call her names. On numerous occasions, he would call her a crybaby and even go as far as to body shame her while pregnant. His aggressive and condescending behavior towards her reached a point where Amanda simply didn’t recognize him anymore. However, their relationship went on longer than it probably should have.
