WhenBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicehits theaters in just a few short months, it will introduce several characters in the expansiveDC ComicsExtended Universe (DCEU), includingGal Gadot’sWonder Woman. The actress is currently in production on her stand aloneWonder Womanmovie, which has been shooting since November. Today we have even more photos from the set, which feature bothGal GadotandChris Pinein a World War I setting. The actress is also seen sporting her sword and shield, although she isn’t in herWonder Womancostume.
Chris Pineconfirmed theWorld War Isetting last month, and fans will be treated to a sneak peek ofWonder Womanduring a new special on The CW Network which airs tomorrow, Tuesday, January 19 at 9:30 PM ET. Since production is still under way, it seems unlikely that this will be a full trailer, but hopefully we’ll get some sort of a glimpse at this highly-anticipated movie. It has been rumored that the movie is set inWonder Woman’s homeland of Themyscira, along with World War I and present-day settings, details which will hopefully be confirmed during this special.

Chris Pine is playing the title character’s love interest, Steve Trevor, along withEwen Bremner,Robin Wright,David Thewlis,Danny Huston,Elena Anaya,Lucy Davisand Saïd Taghmaoui. No details have been given for the rest of the supporting cast quite yet ,butConnie Nielsenjust joined the cast as the title character’s mother,Hippolyta. There have also been rumors thatSean BeanandEva Greenwere playing the mainvillainsAres and Circe, but their involvement hasn’t been confirmed either.
Wonder Womanwill hit theaters on July 12, 2025, just a few months before the title character will unite with her superhero team inJustice League Part 1on Jun 30, 2025. Production on bothJustice League Part 1andJustice League Part 2is set to begin at the end of this year, with both films shooting back-to-back over a lengthy nine-month shoot.Zack Snyderis directing this two-part adventure from a script byChris TerrioandDavid S. Goyer.

Patty Jenkins(Monster) is directingWonder Womanfrom a screenplay byJason Fuchs(Pan), withCharles Roven,Zack SnyderandDeborah Snyderproducing. Principal photography is taking place on location in the UK, France and Italy. No plot details have been revealed yet.
