The big day is finally here!Star WarsCelebration kicks off today in London, with the iconicStar WarslegendMark Hamill. For those who can’t make it to this big event, LucasFilm has you covered, with several of these panels being streamed live online, with theMark Hamillpanel kicking off the live stream schedule.
Start your Celebration weekend off in the best possibly way, by spending time with the Jedi Master himself.Mark Hamillwill chat with the audience, answer questions, and tell stories from his years in entertainment and from his point of view portraying the pivotal character ofLuke Skywalkerin theStar Warsuniverse. Of course, we don’t know for sure what he’ll talk about, butStar Wars: Episode VIIIwill surely be discussed at some point.

Earlier this week,Mark Hamillrevealed that he had wrapped onStar Wars: Episode VIII, while sharing a video from the wrap party, featuring a group of dancingStormtroopersknown as Boogie Storm.Daisy RidleyandJohn Boyegahave also recently wrapped, withMark Hamillconfirming that production will completely wrap on Friday, July 22, which just happens to be Star Wars Day at Comic-Con. Unfortunately, noStar Warspanels are being planned for SDCC, but fans will get to live stream plenty of panels fromStar WarsCelebration this weekend.
Even with production winding down, LucasFilm still has not released a full synopsis or any official plot details aboutStar Wars 8, but there have already been plenty of rumors. It is believed that Luke Skywalker will start Rey’s Jedi training, with the story starting directly after the final moments ofStar Wars: The Force Awakens, when Rey meets Luke on Ahch-To, the planet where he’s been hiding for several years.

There have been also been rumors claiming thatKylo Ren(Adam Driver) has captured both Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), in an effort to lure Rey out of hiding for another lightsaber duel.Rian Johnsonis directing from his own script, withDomhnall Gleeson(General Hux),Gwendoline Christie(Captain Phasma),Carrie Fisher(Leia Organa) andLupita Nyong’o({Maz Kanata) also reprising their roles from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
