That didn’t stopYoutubeuserMiguel Brancofrom unleashing his Mega-Sized 2015 Movie trailer mashup already, which features over 200 releases from this past year.

The 21-year-old aspiring editor culled this footage together tocelebrateall of the releases seen in 2015, whether they were good or bad. He has a complete list of themusicandmoviesthat are included, which you can read throughhere. He also had this to say about putting the project together.

Force Awakens

“What a wonderful year it’s been. Calling 2015 a successful year in motion pictures would be an incredibly vast understatement. To a large degree, our theater experiences were raised to toweringnew heights, our heartstrings were pulled, and our emotions were manipulated in the most beautiful ways possible. If that’s not pure cinema, I don’t know what is.”

In this 8-minute mashup trailer,Miguel Brancoutilizes four different songs, including ‘A Knife in the Ocean’ by Foals, ‘Reality in Motion’ by Tame Impala, ‘Holy Ghost’ by A$AP Rocky and ‘Sitting Up on The Crane’ by Pond. He kicks things off with a trio of breathtaking blockbusters, which includeThe Revenant,Mad Max: Fury RoadandCreed. He brings everything to a close with three very somber indie releases, includingWelcome to Me,The Diary of a Teenage Girland Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. And wedged in-between is every movie from 2015 that you can possibly imagine. About the editing process,Miguel Brancohad this to say.

Jurassic World

“It’s funny - this is my third year doing one of these, and each time has become increasingly more difficult than the last. Although the editing process for this year’s project has been nothing short of a tremendous joy, it’s also been an emotionally draining one. 2015’s grand cinematic scope really inspired me to take bolder and more daring risks, stay true to myself, and most importantly, make something greater than what I initially set out to create. Cinefile 2015 owes a lot to the loved ones, friends, films, albums, and trailers that inspired it. Trying to come up with the right way to show that gratitude and wide range of emotion was extremely difficult. Or, as the opening line from favorite film of the year goes, ‘I have no idea how to tell this story. I don’t even know how to start it.'”

Take a look at this past year in cinema. What were your favorite movies of the year? What is the best part of this epic trailer? And what are you looking forward to most next year? However you slice it up, 2015 was a great movie year. And this Mega-behemoth cut shows why!
