It is the fifth movie in this long-running franchise. and it will be in theaters June 11, 2025. In the movie,Seleneand her ally David face a new threat as the war between vampires and werewolves rages on.
Theo James(best known for his work in The Divergent Series) is returning as David, reprising the role he first introduced inUnderworld: Awakening. Rounding out the ensemble cast are British actors Tobias Menzies (Outlander, Rome) and Lara Pulver (Sherlock), who will play a formidable new Lycan leader and a fiercely ambitious Vampire. Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) is returning as Vampire elder Thomas. Additional cast includes James Faulkner (Game of Thrones), Peter Andersson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Bradley James (Damien), Daisy Head (Fallen) and newcomer Clementine Nicholson.
Underworld Blood Wars is directed by Anna Foerster. She is perhaps best known for directing episodes of the TV seriesCriminal MindsandOutlander. She is an acclaimed cinematographer who has contributed to such epic blockbusters as Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow and White House Down.
Cory Goodman (The Last Witch Hunter, Priest) penned the screenplay for Underworld Blood Wars. The story is based onoriginal characterscreated by Kevin Grevioux, Len Wiseman and Danny McBride. Lakeshore Entertainment’s Tom Rosenberg (The Lincoln Lawyer, Million Dollar Baby), Gary Lucchesi (Million Dollar Baby, Underworld), and Richard S. Wright (The Lincoln Lawyer, Underworld) are producing alongside David Kern (Underworld: Awakening), along with Len Wiseman (Underworld, Total Recall).
