Just one day later,Tyrese Gibsontook to social media, asking directorMichael Bayif he could return as Robert Epps, and it seems that is actually happening now.Tyrese Gibsonconfirmed after the BET Awards that he is in fact coming back forTransformers 5.

The actor originally confirmed the news in an interview last night withET Online, although he wouldn’t say too much about the role.Tyrese Gibsonis currently shootingFast & Furious 8, so it isn’t known when he will be done shooting that movie, to make the transition over toTransformers 5. Here’s what he had to say.

“Let’s just say 2017, summertime, it’s going to be a lot of energy out there in the universe:Fast 8,Transformers 5… I’m here to take advantage of my America.”

Earlier today, the actor also took to both Twitter and Instagram, posting a photo and a video of himself with directorMichael Bay. Of course, neither the actor nor filmmaker would say much about the story, and there is very little we know thus far. The director has been unveiling plenty of new vehicles from the movie, including an updated version of Bumblebee and a new Vespa Autobot Transformer known asSqueeks.
