Showtime’sTwin Peaksrevival is easily one of the most highly-anticipated shows that’s currently in production, although fans will still have to wait until sometime next year for the show to debut. As production continues on the series,Deadlinehas word that yet another new cast member has been added,Ashley Judd. While no details were given regarding the character she’s playing, the site also reports that another familiar face from the originalTwin Peakswill be returning as well.

Warren Frost, the 90-year-old father of series co-creatorMark Frost, will reprise his role as Dr. Will Haywood in a cameo appearance.Mark Frostis also set to have acameoon the series, withDavid Lynchalso reprising his role from the original show as Gordon Cole.David Lynchis directing and he co-wrote theTV serieswithMark Frost, with the writers creating one massive script that will be shot as one long movie. The show will later be broken up into installments after it is shot. At this time, an exact episode count has not been confirmed.

Despite a number of casting rumors,Kyle MacLachlanremains the only confirmedcast memberso far. There have been rumors that Mädchen Amick (Shelly Johnson),Sherilyn Fenn(Audrey Horne),Miguel Ferrer(Albert Rosenfield) andDana Ashbrook(Bobby Brooks) will reprise their roles as well.Amanda Seyfriedis rumored to be playing a brand new character, possibly the daughter of Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) and Annie Blackburn (Heather Graham). Other rumored new cast members include Balthazar Getty,Robert Knepper,Robert Forster,Peter Sarsgaard,Laura Dern,Jennifer Jason Leigh,Naomi Watts,Tom Sizemore, Larry Clarke,Caleb Landry Jones,James Belushiand Grant Goodeve.

Another recent rumor claimed thatRobert Forstermay be taking over for Michael Ontkean as Sheriff Harry S. Truman, since the original actor has long since retired from acting. There is also speculation that he may just be playing a new lawman character that has taken over for Truman. Another rumor claimed that Balthazar Getty may be playing an existing character, but no details have surfaced regarding his role, or any of the other new characters. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, and with production alreadyhalfwaydone. Showtime recently confirmed that the series won’t debut until early 2017.
