Sam Uley led the Quileute werewolf pack in La Push, but actorChaske Spencerwon’t reprise the role inNetflix’supcoming animatedTwilightseries. It wouldn’t have been surprising not to see Sam on the show at first, since the intriguing Alpha didn’t make his first appearance until the second film,The Twilight Saga: New Moon. However, it’s clear now that Spencer won’t be voicing the character again, regardless. Spencer said in a new interview withTV Insider:
I’ll watch it. I’ll check it out. Yeah, I’ll look at it. I’m too old. I’m too old for Sam [laughed]. Even the voice… I think you’re able to find a younger, better-in-shape actor to do that.

While Sam didn’t fall into the purview of either Team Edward or Team Jacob, the fan-favorite werewolf definitely had those who rooted for him, particularly when he sunk his teeth into the Volturi’s Jane (Dakota Fanning) near the end ofThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2. Now, while Spencer won’t return for the Netflix series, Peter Facinelli, who portrayed Dr. Carlisle Cullen, is definitely down to reprise his role. Facinelli said in a 2023 interview (perVariety):
I’m a fan first and foremost. But if they call me I’ll be there. If not, I’ll be watching for sure.

Unlike Spencer, Facinelli was a part ofThe Twilight Sagafrom the very beginning, having appeared in all five films of the franchise. Carlisle seemed to be decapitated during the final battle inBreaking Dawn — Part 2, which just preceded Sam destroying Jane during the war with the Volturi. However, those unexpected deaths were merely a part of Alice’s (Ashley Greene) premonition of the future, and, fortunately, Carlisle never ended up being killed by Aro (Michael Sheen).
Peter Facinelli Is Willing to Return for Both ‘Twilight’ & ‘Nurse Jackie’
Peter Facinelli will happily reprise the role of Dr. Carlisle Cullen onNetflix’s animatedTwilightseries. In fact, the Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee (Outstanding Ensemble Performance for bothSix Feet UnderandNurse Jackie) would also love to playNurse Jackie’sDr. Fitch Cooper, aka Coop, again in the upcoming reboot. Facinelli said in the same interview:
“I’m happy to see them coming back [TwilightandNurse Jackie]. I have a lot of love for both and a lot of love for the cast, filmmakers and producers. It’s like a family. ‘Twilight,’ for me, was six years and ‘Nurse Jackie’ was seven, so when you finish those characters, it’s really…

It’s hard to put them away and move on. But then potentially to have an opportunity to maybe play them again is really cool. If not, I’m happy to tune in and watch. I’ve had my cup runneth over.”
