Marvel Studios left it very late in the day to release the first teaser trailer forThor: Love and Thunder.Having led many fans to believe it would arrive last Monday, today was the day that the Marvel fans got their Thor fix, as a brief 90 second teaser arrived with a lot of tantalizing shots and much left to reveal.Chris Hemsworthwas also active on his Twitter account to welcome the trailer and promise fans that there is something “big, loud, crazy and full of heart” coming this July in his latest outing as the God of Thunder.

Thor: Love and Thunderis already pretty much guaranteed to be one of the biggest hits of the summer thanks to the reunion of Hemsworth and director Taika Waititi, who will once again be bringing the bright and action-packed retro extravaganza style ofThor: Ragnarokto the MCU. With the cast including a whole host of returnees including Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, and Natalie Portman as well as newcomers Christian Bale and Russell Crowe, the one thing that is certain is thatThor: Love and Thunderwill have to do something really wrong to not join Marvel’s $1 billion club this summer.

Marvel Have A Lot of Big Projects To Come This Year, Starting With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

There is no one capable of keeping fans in suspense like Marvel Studios, and that has been proven once again by the unexpected drop of theThor: Love and Thundertrailer today. Having become the movie with the shortest window between first trailer and movie release – with the trailer dropping just 81 days before the movie hits cinemas – there is a lot of hype around the return of Hemsworth’s Thor, the first Marvel Cinematic Universe character with a fourth solo movie, with the trailer racking up over 11 million views in the first 7 hours.

Obviously Marvel Studios never do anything without good reason, and with so many other projects coming before Thor’s arrival, it is not surprising that they have held back on the first teaser. We are now onlytwo weeks away from the arrival ofDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,a film that is really going to kick-start the summer blockbuster season as a direct follow on from the phenomenally successfulSpider-Man: No Way Home. In addition to this, Disney+ seriesMoon KnightandMs. Marvelare now both receiving a hefty chunk of promotion too. WhileThor: Love and Thunderis definitely going to be one of the biggest movies released this year, it is obvious that Marvel Studios wants people to concentrate fully on the releases that precede it before moving ahead at full speed.
