The Marvelshave already proved to be one of Marvel’s most divisive movies. While the chemistry of the leads has been praised, it is still considereda messy sequel. That does not mean the story is without fun. Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) get their powers mysteriously tangled. To save themselves and the galaxy, they must work together to take down the villainous Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton). Along the way, they become an actual team.
As the heroes fight Dar-Benn on Aldana, she tears a hole in space. The trio eventually gains the upper hand, defeating Dar-Benn, and Kamala can reclaim her rightful Bengal. To fix the tear in space, Kamala and Carol energize Monica, allowing her to close the hole from the other side. After this, Carol returns to Hala (Dar-Benn’s homeworld) to fix their dead sun. Meanwhile, Kamala feels inspired to find other heroes and seeks out Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) next in her sights. Monica wakes up in another reality, meeting a variant of her mother, Maria (Lashana Lynch), as the X-man Binary and the mutant Beast (Kelsey Grammar). Both these scenes beg the question, where can we see the titular Marvels going next?

Monica has dealt with one of the biggest surprises of her life, finding her “mother” still alive. She also discovers that she is trapped in the universe of the X-Men. The results promise one of the most emotional MCU journeys to date. Kevin Feige recentlyteased the MCU’s X-Men debut, delivering it sooner than anticipated. Including them in this way will be more than just “fan service” for X-Men fans. Besides being a leader, bringing the X-Men in could help Monica honor her mother’s legacy.
That mid-credits scene is more than just a cameo of what is to come. Monica is finally getting a chance to speak to her mother. It will allow her to have a much-needed emotional catharsis. Wherever we see Monica again, another lengthy conversation with this variant of her mother (Binary) will, in fact, happen. If they can find peace with each other, then Monica and Binary will be able to join forces. Binary could be the one who convinces the X-Men that Monica is right and the entire multiverse is in need of saving. These paths could cross in one of the upcomingAvengersfilms.
Monica, or Photon(her superhero name), has shown her powers to fix tears in space. She could create another tear to bring the X-Men onto Earth-616 (The MCU’s earth). Monica’s ability to bridge the gapbetween these multiversescould be the secret weapon for helping theAvengersinThe Kang Dynasty.
LikeInfinity War,The Kang Dynastycould end on a massive cliffhanger. This could involve the new Avengers losing to Kang and his massive army of variants. That loss could have a ripple effect on the X-Men universe, making Monica realize that her friends need reinforcements. She could use her multiversal phasing powers to bring these universes together. Monica is not the only one who could provide reinforcements in the upcomingAvengersfilms.

Kamala Is Forming Her Own Team
Kamala was inspired by her time with both Monica and Carol. While Carol and Monica are away, she appears to be building her ownYoung Avengersteam. Her team could prove to be an asset in the fight to come. The question is, how can Kamala and her friends reunite with their fellow Marvels? Before her possible rescue mission to save Monica, Kamala could try and find Carol. Finding Carol could come after her new Young Avengers possibly lose to a Kang variant inThe Kang Dynasty.
WithbothAvengersfilms teased to be connected, Kamala’s character arc could follow her becoming a leader. This includes experimenting with her mutant abilities and trying to lead by Carol’s example. Kamala could have her own growing pains with someone like Kate, similar to The Marvels' initial (slightly disgruntled) character dynamics. To realize this, she might need to have some more time with Carol so she could teach Kamala about being a leader. This teachable process could be more than just conversations between Carol and Kamala. Carol could save Kamala and her team if they got into a dangerous situation.
