Warner Bros. Discovery showcased a new trailer and details about this summer’sThe Flash. The movie has already been hailed as the greatest DC movie of all time – big words – but some have gone even further to call itthe greatest superhero movie evermade. Although there is still a little wait before audiences get to make their own mind up about the Ezra Miller-led film, directorAndy Muschettihas already been addressing the chances of the film getting a sequel in the new James Gunn/Peter Safran era of the DCU.

While speaking toComicBook.com, Muschetti was asked what the future holds for The Flash considering the movie has been touted as a kind of reset for the franchise. The director said:

Ezra Miller as Credence in Fantastic Beasts

“We didn’t talk about it. I think that we’re all waiting to see how this movie does. Of course, there’s excitement about continuing the story, especially if this movie’s successful. Of course, there’s an architecture in DC that is brewing, and it’s being created. And the question is, will this new architecture absorb this story? The good thing about the multiverse is that it is possible. The multiverse allows all of this different worlds to coexist and interact. And so hopefully, yes. We don’t know yet. That’s the truth.”

The Flashhas suffered many delays thanks to the Covid pandemic, but has also had to negate the controversy of Miller’s off-screen behavior last year. This is something that did not go unmentioned duringThe Flashpanel.

Are Ezra Miller’s Personal Problems Behind Them?

The Flashis one of the biggest and most important movies of Warner Bros. Discovery’s upcoming slate. While it seems that the movie is set to be a huge hit this summer, at one point it seemed that the whole thing could implode when Ezra Miller found themselves on the wrong side of the law on several occasions. When it comes tothe arrests of Miller, which included accusations of harassment, burglary and other disturbances, Andy Muschetti believes that all of that is in the past and Miller is over their problems. He said:

“Ezra is well now. We’re all hoping that they get better… They’re taking the steps to recovery. They’re dealing with mental health issues, but they’re well. We talked to them not too long ago, and they’re very committed to getting better.”

Producer Barbara Muschetti followed up on this, praising Miller’s commitment to the movie. She told the room:

“And, I have to say, during our shoot, during principal photography, their commitment to the role was something we’ve never seen, and the discipline to the work, the willingness — physical, mental, and just wanting to go beyond the pale — is just amazing.”

Miller previously addressed their issues in a statement back in August, acknowledging the “intense crisis” they had been going through and committing to “doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe, and productive stage” in their life. From Muschetti’s comments, it seems that they are sticking to their word.

The Flashwill hit theaters on June 16.
