Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Amazon’sThe Boystakes place in a universe where super-powered individuals are recognized as heroes by the public and owned by the powerful corporation Vought International, which markets and monetizes them. Outside their heroic personas, most are arrogant and corrupt. The series primarily focuses on two groups: The Seven, Vought International’s premier superhero team, and the titular Boys, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control.
The BoysSeason 3 finds Billy Butcher in a surprising position – calm and on the straight and narrow. In fact, it’s been a year of calm. Homelander has been subdued. And Butcher is now working for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So, when The Boys learn of a mysterious anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into The Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.

The mystery of Soldier Boy will be just one of the surprises presented byThe BoysSeason 3,with the biggest undoubtedly being the fact that Billy Butcher, the most anti-super person in the world, will gain some superpowers of his own. As shown in the trailer and again on these posters, Butcher will level the playing field by using a drug that can transform a non-super for 24 hours. Wielding laser vision, Butcher will, at last, be able to take the fight to Homelander in a way he has never been able to before.
