Today, Disney+ released character posters of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, and debuted an exciting TV spot for its new, live-action series from Lucasfilm,The Book of Boba Fett. “I am Boboa Fett. Left for dead on the sands of Tatooine. Jabba Ruled with fear. I intend to rule with respect.” Check out the bounty hunter anf the mercenary Fennec Shand as they atrtempt to lay claim on Jabba the Hutt’s territory.
The Book of Boba Fett official synopsis reads, “a thrillingStar Warsadventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale ofThe Mandalorian, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.”

The Mandaloriancreators Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Robert Rodriguez will be directing episodes, along with Bryce Dallas Howard. Executive producer and director, Jon Favreau, gave some insight into the storyline, explaning, “There is a power vacuum, because Jabba is gone. Jabba was clearly a very strong and imposing leader, who people were very scared of, and who seemed to rule with an iron fist. You pull somebody like that out of the ecosystem of Tatooine – and Hutt Space in general – and you have the opportunity that’s ripe in the gangster genre. Although Boba Fett is a very experienced bounty hunter, he’s not experienced at running a criminal syndicate or managing forces. He’s not normally a newcomer. He’s an expert as we see him in most areas. But in this case, he’s trying to transition to another position.”
Fellow executive producer and director,Robert Rodriguez, added, “We’ll see a lot more of his true character in this season. And you’ll definitely see him have to turn ‘barbarian mode’.”

If you haven’t viewed the extended trailer, what are you waiting for?Disney+gives the series the tagline, “Every galaxy has an underworld.” Boba Fett is trying a new hat (helmet), as he sits at the head of the table surrounded by Jabba’s remaining former captains. He makes a proposal to the table that O-Ren Ishii might have delivered. Are they going to take the deal?
The buzz for the highly-aniticipated series started at the first announcement a year ago. Favreau teased in December 2020, “We didn’t want to spoil the surprise during the bigKathleen Kennedyannouncement of all the shows [during Investor Day earlier this month], so they let me keep this one a secret. So this is actually separate fromThe Mandalorianseason 3. But what we didn’t say in that announcement is the next show coming up — what Kathy called ‘the next chapter’ — is going to beThe Book of Boba Fett, and then we go into production right after that onThe Mandalorian, back with the main character that we all know and love… pretty soon following that. There’s a lot ofStar Warscontent coming out, I think they announced 10 projects, I think this will be 11.”
