Love, Death & Robotsis an adult-animated anthology series, showcasing stories with elements of science fiction, horror, and fantasy. Notably inspired by the animated filmHeavy Metal, the series is filled with all sorts of creatures and adventures, usually presented as a dark comedy. Some stories have intergalactic battles, others have elements like vampires and werewolves, and there’s everything in between. Reflecting this, the different episodes also employ different art and animation styles, with some even incorporating live-action.

Since each episode tells a different story, each episode also features a different cast. Thanks to this, there have been a few celebrities who have lent their voices to the series. There have been actors, comedians, and even a few stars known for their work behind-the-scenes, as well. Naturally, a few of these guest stars have actually made a name for themselves as voice actors beforehand. In fact, some of them are also known for their appearances in science-fiction-oriented works.
14Topher Grace - “Ice Age” - S01, E16
Topher Graceis an American actor who’s arguably best known for playing the main character, Eric Forman, onThat ’70s Show, a role he reprised onThat ’90s Show. Some film roles he’s had over the years include playing Eddie Brock and Venom inSpider-Man 3and Pete Monash inWin a Date with Tad Hamilton!. He’s also known for playing Tom Hayworth in the comedy seriesHome Economics.
Grace appeared in the episode “Ice Age,” where he portrayed the character of Rob, alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Gail. Both characters discover an antique refrigerator that has a miniature civilization inside it, that advances at an accelerated rate. Eventually, the civilization runs its course, but it turns out time repeats in the tiny world, at least when the fridge gets unplugged.

One ofMary Elizabeth Winstead’s earliest roles was in the cult-classic soap operaPassions. Winstead came to prominence in the 2000s by appearing ina variety of horror works, such asFinal Destination 3,Black Christmas, andWolf Lake. Some of her more notable film roles includeLive Free or Die Hard,Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,Sky High, and10 Cloverfield Lane. She’s also known for appearing as Hera Syndulla in theStar WarsseriesAhsoka.
Winstead appears in the episode “Ice Age,” paired alongside Topher Grace as the character Rob. Both encounter a strange refrigerator that contains what appears to be a petrified mammoth. Soon, it comes to light that a miniature world exists in the fridge, where time moves far faster than in the outside world. In time, the world runs its course, only to end with a lesson about cyclical time.

12Joel McHale - “Kill Team Kill” - S03, E05
As a television personality,Joel McHaleis well-known as the host ofThe Soupfrom 2004 to 2015. One of his best-known acting roles is playing Jeff Winger on the sitcomCommunity. Some of his more notable films includeSpider-Man 2,Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, andTed. He’s also known for his work as a voice-actor, lending his voice toLego DimensionsandFortnite.
McHale appears in the episode “Kill Team Kill,” playing the character of Sergeant Morris. The story revolves around a task force facing off against a grizzly bear that was given cybernetic enhancements through a government experiment.

11Seth Green - “Kill Team Kill” - S03, E05
Some ofSeth Green’s more notable television roles were the werewolf Oz onBuffy the Vampire Slayerand the voice of Chris Griffin on the animated sitcomFamily Guy. Some of Green’s more notable film roles includeRat Race,Without a Paddle, theAustin Powersfilm series, and theGuardians of the Galaxyfilm series. Green is also known for being a creator of the adult stop-motion sketch seriesRobot Chicken, where heoften provides voice work.
Green appears in the episode “Kill Team Kill,” playing the character of Private Folen. Green’s character is part of a task force that comes across a dangerous, cybernetic bear that went rouge from government testing. The character of Folen learns the hard way to make sure you’re out of danger before you gloat.

10Craig Ferguson - “Mason’s Rats” - S03, E07
Craig Fergusonis arguably best known as the host ofThe Late Late Show with Craig Fergusonfrom 2005 to 2014. One of his first breakout roles in the United States was playing Nigel WIck onThe Drew Carey Show. Over the years, Ferguson has also gained notoriety as a voice-actor, appearing inHow to Train Your Dragon,Winnie the Pooh, andBrave.
Ferguson appears in the episode “Mason’s Rats,” which, fittingly enough given Ferguson’s background, takes place in a futuristic version of Scotland. Ferguson plays the title character, Mason, a farmer who uncovers rats invading his barn. It soon comes to light that these are no ordinary rats, having evolved to the point of even using weapons. Of course, even with rats, growth and change can often lead to progress.

9Christian Serratos - “In Vaulted Halls Entombed” - S03, E08
One ofChristian Serratos' most prominent roles is playing Rosita Espinosa onThe Walking Dead. For many, her big break in the industry was playing Suzie Crabgrass on Nickelodeon’sNed’s Declassified School Survival Guide. Serratos is also known for playing Angela Weber in theTwilightfilm series and the slain Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla in the biographicalSelena: The Series.
Serratos appeared in the episode “In Vaulted Halls Entombed,” where she played the character of Harper. The story revolves around a task force dealing with a hostage situation involving insurgents, only to learn both the hostages and the insurgents have been killed by spider-like beings. Soon, only two are left alive, including Serratos' character, and they will have to face off against an eldritch deity.
8Dan Stevens - “Mason’s Rats” - S03, E07
Dan Stevensis a British actor who became internationally known for his role as Matthew Crawley inDownton Abbey. He’s also known for playing the Beast and the prince in Disney’s live-action remake ofBeauty and the Beast. Other notable film roles includeThe Guest,Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb,Marshall, andThe Man Who Invented Christmas. He’s also known for appearing in the seriesLegionandSolar Opposites, having taken over the role of Korvo in the latter show’s fourth season.
Stevens appeared in the episode “Mason’s Rats,” playing the characters of Nigel and the technician. The story revolves around a farmer, the titular Mason, dealing with rats who have evolved to the point of building machines. Mason must fight technology with technology, but that might not be the answer after all.
7Chris Parnell - “Three Robots” - S01, E02
For many,Chris Parnellis best known for serving as a cast member onSaturday Night Livefrom 1998 to 2006. He is also known for appearing on the sitcom30 Rock. Over the years, Parnell has gained recognition as a voice actor, appearing in series likeArcher,Rick and Morty,Family Guy, andWordGirl, serving as the narrator of the latter show.
Parnell appears in the episode “Three Robots.” The story revolves around three robots in a post-apocalyptic world. The three attempt to study what humans were like, including the practice of keeping pets. It comes to light that, before going extinct, humans manage to genetically enhance cats, who have survived the fall of humanity. This engineering has given them increased intelligence and the ability to speak, with their voices provided by Parnell. The cats also appear in “Three Robots: Exit Strategies.”
6Samira Wiley - “Lucky 13” - S01, E13
Samira Wileyis an American actress who is best known for playing Poussey Washington inOrange is the New Blackand Moira inThe Handmaid’s Tale. Other films Wiley has appeared in includeThe SItter,Nerve,Detroit, andSocial Animals. She also served as the narrator ofNight on Earth.
Wiley appeared in the episode of “Lucky 13,” appearing as the character of Lieutenant “Cutter” Colby. After crews go missing on a ship marked by the number 13, the Marines start to grow superstitious and give it to Cutter, a rookie who has never had a casualty. In the end, Cutter proves that the ship, “Lucky 13,” is really a blessing in disguise.
5Joe Dempsie - “The Tall Grass” - S02, E05
Joe Dempsieis known for playing Chris Miles inSkinsand Gendry Baratheon inGame of Thrones. Dempsie has also appeared in the series Peak Practice, Doctors, Sweet medicine. He is also known for appearing in the mini-seriesThis Is England ‘86andThis Is England ‘90.
Dempsie appears in the episode, “The Tall Grass,” playing the character of Laird. The story starts off when a steam train breaks down amidst a field filled with tall grass. Dempsie’s character steps outside and encounters strange lights, soon going on to encounter ghoul-like entities. Upon being rescued by the conductor, it’s mused that the ghouls may have once been humans who have also similarly found themselves lost.
