This year’s marathon kicks off on December 30 with the episodeStatic, which was the 20th episode of the show’s second season during its original run and features a man with a mysterious old radio that seems to only pick up old radio shows. The Twilight Zoneoriginally aired on CBS from 1959 to 1964. The show was created andhosted by Rod Serlingand is considered to be one of the best TV shows ever made. There have been several attempts at revivals in the past, most recently for just one season that aired from 2002 to 2003. Though unsuccessful, it shows that the series has managed to endure within the pop culture landscape. Lucky for us, we have more than just this marathon to look forward to in the near future.

CBS All Accessis currently working on a new revival withGet Outdirector Jordan Peele who, in addition to serving as an executive producer, will take on Rod Serling’s old role as the show’s new host. The revival ofThe Twilight Zoneis set to air on the streaming service in 2019, but no release date has been firmed up just yet.
