Warner Bros. is capitalizing on the belovedValentine’s Dayholiday today by showcasing a new poster for their superhero adventureSuicide Squadon the film’sTwitterpage. Now, whileSuicide Squadmight not be the perfect “date movie,” it does have an unusual romance at it’s core, showcasing the relationship between Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and The Joker (Jared Leto). This poster doesn’t necessarily offer a traditional Valentine’s Day message, but it does showcase bizarre, artistic renditions of both Joker and Harley Quinn.

The all-star ensemble cast for Suicide Squad includesWill Smith(Deadshot),Margot Robbie(Harley Quinn),Jared Leto(The Joker),Jai Courtney(Boomerang),Joel Kinnaman(Rick Flagg),Cara Delevingne(Enchantress),Viola Davis(Amanda Waller), Karen Fukuhara (Katana)Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje(Killer Croc), andJay Hernandez(El Diablo). Created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru for DC Comics in 1959, the Suicide Squad follows a group of super villains tasked by the U.S. Government to pull off a secret mission. The catch is that is will be nearly impossible, and most of them, if not all, will return in body bags. If they make it out alive, they will be rewarded their freedom.

The supporting cast includes a supporting cast that includesScott Eastwood,Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje,Ike Barinholtz,Ray Olubowale,Alex Meraz,Jim ParrackandCommon. While none of their characters have been confirmed yet, there was a rumor last summer that claimedScott Eastwoodis playingDeathstroke, whileCommonis reportedly playing theDC Comicscharacter Abel Tarrant, a.k.a. The Tattooed Man. There is also another major character who will appear in this highly-anticipated movie.

We know thatBatman v SupermanstarBen Affleckwill reprise his role asBatmaninSuicide Squad. While we still don’t know how large his role is in the movie, we have seen him riding on top of The Joker’s car in several set videos and photos while production was under way in Toronto.David Ayerdirects from his own screenplay, withSuicide Squadis set for release on July 25, 2025, just a few months afterBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicehits theaters on March 25.

Suicide Squadstarted shooting this past April in Toronto, with production wrapping in August, just a few weeks after directorDavid Ayershowcased the first trailer at Comic Con. With six grueling months left until this super-villain adaptation hits theaters, it remains to be seen when the third trailer will arrive.
