When the newGhostbustershits theaters next month, this story will be set in a whole new world where the originalGhostbustersdidn’t exist. That being said, there will still be plenty of nods to the original classic, including the Ecto-1 vehicle, Slimer and cameos from several of the original cast members. Today we have three new TV spots, which reveals the presence of another franchise favorite, theStay Puft Marshmallow Man.
The first of these new TV spots, which surfaced on YouTube, gives us a brief glimpse at the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, but his presence might not be quite the same as the original. Yesterday, newsoundtrack detailswere released, which included a track called “Balloon Parade,” where these balloons reportedly will come to life and terrorize New York City. It seems that the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man will be one of these floats-turned-ghosts that theGhostbusterswill have to take down, but we don’t know for sure.

One of the other TV spots also features footage from this parade gone awry, with several different floats coming to life. Unfortunately, none of these spots give us a glimpse at any of the cameos from the originalGhostbustersstars such asBill Murray,Dan Aykryod,Ernie HudsonorAnnie Potts, but it’s possible that we won’t get to see any of these characters until the movie hits theaters on July 15. It has been rumored thatDan Aykryodplays a taxi driver who picks upKristen Wiig’s Erin Gilbert, whileBill Murrayis reportedly playing a character trying to debunk the newGhostbusters' claims.
