Earlier this month, Disney and LucasFilm heldStar Wars Celebrationin London, where the new poster and footage from the firstStar WarsspinoffRogue One: A Star Wars Storywas unveiled. Last weekend, Disney and LucasFilm didn’t bring this movie to Comic-Con, but the spinoff still did have quite a presence on the convention floor, with a number of retailers debuting new products from this movie. Today we have photos featuring some of the new Hasbro toy line forRogue One.
Hasbroand theStar WarsTwitter feed unveiled theseaction figuresover the weekend, which include the new 6″ and 3.75″ Star Wars action figures, featuring characters fromRogue One,Star Wars RebelsandStar Wars: The Force Awakens. There is also a figure of Jaina Solo, who was the winner of the 6" fans choice poll. We don’t know for sure when these will go on sale, but we also have an intriguing toy photo featuring the AT-ACT fromRogue One.
We previously got our first glimpse of theAT-ACTwhich stands for All Terrain Armored Cargo Transport, on theStar WarsCelebration poster. With the December 16 release just around the corner, this massive toy could be a hot seller during the Christmas shopping season this year, but we’ll have to wait and see. there will certainly be many more toys and action figures released from thisStar Warsmovie soon, so stay tuned.
Rogue Onetakes place before the events ofStar Wars: A New Hope, telling the story of unlikely heroes who have united to steal plans to the dreadedDeath Star.Rogue Onewill be followed byStar Wars: Episode VIII(August 15, 2025),Han Solo: A Star Wars Story(June 27, 2025),Star Wars: Episode IX(2019) and a thirdStar Warsspinoff, reportedly centering on Boba Fett, arriving in 2020. There has been talk that Disney plans on releasing one newStar Warsmovie a year, indefinitely, but we’ll have to wait and see if that plan holds up.
TheRogue One: A Star Wars Storycast includesFelicity Jones,Mads Mikkelsen,Ben Mendelsohn,Alan Tudyk,Diego Luna,Forest Whitaker,Donnie Yen,Riz AhmedandWen Jiang. The movie is directed byGareth Edwards. The script is byChris Weitz, with the story coming fromGary Whittaand John Knoll based on characters and ideas created byGeorge Lucas.
