Back in August,Spider-Man: HomecomingstarTom Hollandput on his Spider-Man suit for a very special occasion, to visit ailing children at an Atlanta children’s hospital, while production was still under way. Even though filming wrapped last month,Tom Hollandput his iconic Spidey suit back on to visit some more children at New York Presbyterian Hospital earlier today. The actor’s co-starsZendayaandJacob Batalonwere also on hand for this special visit.
The new video was posted toZendaya’sTwitteraccount, with both the actress andJacob Batalonbriefly smiling for the camera beforeTom Hollandpays a visit to a young fan named Nicholas. Humorously enough, the youngster is actually wearing a Batman t-shirt. Even withSpider-Manhimself in the room, Nicholas is asked if he really likes Batman better thanSpider-Man. Nicholas doesn’t hesitate at all to nod in the affirmative, which causes bothZendayaandJacob Batalonto burst into laughter.
Zendayaalso made headlines earlier today, by insisting that she is not playingMary-Jane Watsonin this highly-anticipated movie. After Sony’s Comic-Con panel this summer, directorJon Wattsconfirmed thatZendayais playing a character named Michelle, whileTony Revoloriis playing Flash Thompson,Jacob Batalonplaying Ned Leeds andLaura Harrierplaying Liz Allan. Unfortunately,Zendayawouldn’t say much more about her character, but it seems we may get our first look at Michelle and the rest of these characters soon.
Last week, an unconfirmed report claimed that thefirst trailerforSpider-Man: Homecomingwill be attached to prints ofRogue One: A Star Wars Story, which hits theaters nationwide December 16. The trailer is also expected to debut online before it hits theaters, but this news has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Studios or Sony Pictures. It isn’t known what will be shown in this footage, but sinceZendayais the female lead, it certainly seems likely we’ll get our first look at Michelle here.
Tom Hollandalso recently confirmed that he has signed on for sixSpider-Man movies, three of which will represent the trilogy started bySpider-Man: Homecoming, and three more appearances in future Marvel movies. The studio hasn’t confirmed yet if he will return inAvengers: Infinity War, which starts filming in January, but hopefully we’ll get a full cast list soon. Until then, take a look atSpider-Man: HomecomingstarTom Holland’s interaction with a young fan at the New York Presbyterian Hospital today.
