Though we’re currently in the midst ofSiloSeason 2 onApple TV+, fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that things will continue, as the serieshas just been renewed for two more seasons. Debuting in 2023,Silois based on the popular novel series by author Hugh Howey, and starsRebecca Fergusonas Juliette Nichols, an engineer living in a dystopian future where a community exists in a giant underground silo comprising 144 levels.
PerDeadline, Apple TV+has renewedSilothrough Season 4, which will allow creatorGraham Yostto tell the complete story of Howey’s saga that’s made up of three novels:Wool,Shift, andDust. The plan all along was for the series to have a definitive end sooner rather than later, and not continue on past its source material. With the folks at Apple now giving things the green light, Yost says he’s pleased to be able to give fans the ending they deserve.

“It has been a richly rewarding experience to adapt Hugh’s epic novels with our partners at Apple and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this complete story to the screen over the course of four seasons. With the final two chapters of Silo, we can’t wait to give fans of the show an incredibly satisfying conclusion to the many mysteries and unanswered questions contained within the walls of these silos.”
‘Silo’ Showrunner Reveals Important Season 2 Change Saved Fans from Frustration
‘Silo’ has topped the Apple TV+ chart with its second season, but it may have a different story if the showrunner had not made one important change.
Currently holding a 92% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, the sci-fi series has been met with a mixed bag of responses from the fans, who claimthe series can be “painfully slow” at times. With its audience score sitting at 65%, most have high praise for Ferguson, but also mention that things can get sloppy and deviate from the novels. They probably won’t be happy with the Season 2 finale ofSilothen, which Yost says will featurea “big surprise” not found in the books.

Rebecca Ferguson Calls the Final Two Seasons of ‘Silo’ “Thought-Provoking”
First gaining recognition for her role in theMission: Impossiblefranchise, and later in Mike Flanagan’s adaptation ofthe Stephen King novelDoctor Sleep, there’s no denying that Ferguson plays the part of Nichols to perfection. Called"the saving grace" of the show by some, it should also be noted that she’s bolstered by a strong supporting cast including Tim Robbins, Rashida Jones, and David Oyelowo.
When it comes to finishingSiloon a high note, Ferguson said that she can’t wait to get into the final two,“thought-provoking"seasons to close out what she said she’s “immensely proud of.”

“I’ve loved every minute of bringing Juliette to the screen and I am immensely proud of what we’ve all created with Silo since the first episode. I have always felt passionately about telling the entire story contained within Hugh Howey’s books, so I couldn’t be happier that audiences around the world have enthusiastically embraced the show. Alongside our parters at Apple, Graham, and the entire cast and crew, I cannot wait to dive into these final two thought-provoking seasons that will beautifully conclude this dystopian tale.”
There’s no word yet on when production will begin onSiloSeason 3, but fans can catch the remaining five episodes of Season 2 streaming every Friday on Apple TV+ until its conclusion on Jun 29, 2025.
