Horrorfans are in for a real treat this Halloween season thanks toShudder, whorecently unveiled their 2024 Season of Screams streaming lineupwhich features a ton of spooky movies to get you in the holiday spirit. Long known as the premiere destination for original horror programming, Shudder is once again pulling out all the stops this year to bring fans some of the best films the genre has to offer, and they kicked things off yesterday with the streaming debut of the most original slasher film of the year,In a Violent Nature.

In a Violent Nature is a 2024 horror-slasher film written and directed by Chris Nash that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024. A group of campers in the middle of the wilderness stumble across a fire watchtower and discover a locket buried beneath its charred ruins. However, by unearthing the locket, they’ve invited the wrath of its prior owner and now must survive the rampage of a supernatural killer looking to retrieve his possession.

When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year-old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it. The undead golem homes in on the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get it back – along with anyone in his way.
