John Wickstar, and somehow still the most underrated action icon fighting the good fight,Scott Adkins, has teased the intense action to come in his latest action thriller. As well as revealing our first look at the movie, which finds Adkins once again in a deadly situation that only his particular skills can get him out of, the actor and martial artist has also now confirmed the release date of the new action outing, which will drop his high kicks and powerful punches in World War II.

Directed by Louis Mandylor, who previously shared the screen with Adkins in theDebt Collectorfranchise,Prisoner of Waris based on the true story of the Bataan death march and follows Adkins as a pilot who finds himself captured and forced to fight for his life. ‘John Wick’ actor spoke to MovieWeb leading up to the release of his new action film Diablo, which also stars fellow martial artist Marko Zaror.

Despite displaying his unmatched affinity for action and martial arts spectacle, Scott Adkins continues to fly under the radar. However, the actor had one of his biggest credits to date recently, starring alongside Keanu Reeves in the action thriller blockbuster hit,John Wick: Chapter 4. Well-known to action fans thanks to his roles in the likes of theUndisputedfranchise,Accident Man, Avengement, One Shot, and more, Adkins featured inJohn Wick 4as the scene-stealing Killa Harkan, the head of the German Table.
