10 Movies Guy Ritchie Says You Should Watch
Movie-making isn’t just a job for Guy Ritchie. He is also a fan of cinema, and he’s revealed some of his favorite movies during interviews.
Brosnan plays the patriarch of the Harrigan family. Like almost every powerful family in a Guy Ritchie story, the Harrigan’s acquired their wealth and power through occasionally immoral means. This includes using and mentoring Harry De Souza into doing hisfamily’s dirty business. But Brosnan says Harry and Conrad’s relationship is more complex than its criminal surface. “Within the context of the story, I am a father figure [to his character],” Brosnan explained, continuing:

“And this is a story about a family, a family that is mangled, desperate, charismatic, brutal, wily, unpredictable.”
Guy Ritchie’s ‘MobLand’ Is “Shakespearean”
One of the highlights of a Guy Ritchie project is his intricate and clever wordplay. According to Pierce Brosnan,MobLandwon’t break that trend. In fact, the Irish actor went so far as to callMobLand"Shakespearean." The similarities between Ritchie and the classic British playwright stem from “the vernacular [and] the colloquialisms” they both use. There are also many thematic throughlines from Shakespeare’s most popular works andMobLand.
“The Scottish play, not to name it, but you have a man and a wife who rule a certain kingdom and there’s mistrust. There’s a desperate kind of life involved with violence and wanting to devour anyone who comes into their being.”

MobLandpremieres on Paramount+ on March 30.Alongside Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Tom Hardy,MobLandalso stars Paddy Considine, Joanne Groggatt, and Lara Pulver. The official synopsis reads:
