The show entered production soon after, and it was announced that Season 2 would see Sterling K. Brown reprising his role as Xavier and the supporting cast would return as well. Today, we got a first look at Season 2, with Brown teasing his return in an upcoming season that is “divvied up between Xavier’s exploration of what is outside and what continues to happen inside after the melee that transpired with Sinatra and Jane.”

Xavier is a Secret Service agent who finds the president’s body in his room at the White House. 8 Questions We Still Have After the ‘Paradise’ Season 1 Finale
Season 1 of ‘Paradise’ may be over, but the mysteries have only just begun.
ParadiseSeason 1 saw Xavier discarding suspects for Bradford’s murder, while another subplot became more relevant thanthe president’s assassination. It is revealed that Sinatra, a woman who actually leads the bunker’s community, is behind every decision made inside. Xavier confronts her, and she lets him know that there are survivors outside the bunker. His wife, who was left behind during the apocalypse, is alive. Everyone thought that this would trigger Xavier to harm her, but someone beats him to it (she isn’t killed). Per Brown himself, this doesn’t mean that he has forgiven Sinatra:

“His stated goal is continuing to unearth who she is as a person and what her motivations are… He still probably just wants to kill her. But there’s a little bit more that we learn about her throughout the course of the season that may change the way in which people see her.”
The first season ended when Xavier was getting on a plane and was ready to explore the remains of society. When asked if his character would have more action scenes in the second season, Brown answered as follows:

“More. He knows Paradise. He has a command of the area. Everything is brand new now. Everything was familiar. Now everything is brand new. You’re encountering people that you’ve never met. They don’t know your motives. You don’t know their motives. So, there’s a little bit more friction. The friction gets amped up.”
Brown recently received a nomination at the Emmys for his performance inParadisein the category Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He will be competing with other prominent performers in 2025, such as Noah Wyle (The Pitt) and Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us).

What To Expect From ‘Paradise’ Season 2
Sterling K. Brown teased plot details for Season 2, but he didn’t confirmwhether Xavier would reunite with his wife Teri: “Xavier’s out in the world. He’s looking for his wife, trying to find her. Is she alive? Is she not alive? Will he find her? Will he not find her? We see how people have been surviving that didn’t have the means and the planning that the people inside the bunker did. They’ve made a way. It doesn’t look as organized, obviously, but it is a way. We meet people who are benign. We meet people who are nefarious.”
TheThis Is Usactor also talked about his new co-star for Season 2 ofParadise, the widely lauded actor of movies likeThe Descendants, Shailene Woodley.

“I can’t say much. I made a friend, that’s really the biggest thing. It’s always great when you hire wonderful people that are good at what they do, but when you actually make a friend that’s even cooler. She’s sweet, honest, open, ready to play, and very professional. I expected all of those things of her. But to have met her and to have played with her in the sandbox, it was everything and more. She’s outstanding.”
