20 years after the original hit theaters,Chicken Run 2is finally happening. Aardman Animation is set to produce the sequel, which has been picked up for global distribution by Netflix. The streaming service will release the movie around the world, save for China. The creative team has also revealed the first plot details for the long-awaited sequel. The announcement was made during the Annecy Making Of panel on the festival’s digital platform....

TheChild’s Play Remakeis now less than a month from hitting theaters. The studio has released a new TV spot for the remake and it declares that there is something wrong with Chucky, revealing playtime is over. There’s a lot going on in the 30 seconds of footage, from Andy getting the Buddi doll from his mother, to getting a retina scan, all the way to some knife play, along with some rope usage....

In an expected but no less significant move,Cinemarkhas announced it will be closing all of its theaters in North America temporarily. It isn’t clear how long the closure will last, but other major chains such as AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas and the Alamo Drafthouse closed their doors as well in order to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Cinemark operates 345 theaters in North America and the company extends to include Century Theatres, Tinseltown, CinéArts and Rave....

The King is heading to Netflix, as the streaming service has ordered an animated comedy series featuring Elvis Presley as a secret agent. Called Agent King, the series brings in Mike Arnold (Archer) to serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
