This reboot series will be a return to television forFantasy Islandafter Blumhouse’s horror movie adaptation. HBO Max has found itsGreen Lanternin Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story). A decade after the infamous Ryan Reynolds movie flopped completely with viewers, progress is moving along swimmingly on aGreen LanternTV series at HBO Max. Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Seth Grahame-Smith will reportedly serve as executive producers with Grahame-Smith also serving as showrunner, but no casting information had yet been revealed. Justin Timberlake gives the strongest performance of his acting career inPalmer. He plays an ex-con that bonds with a transgender child after returning to his rural Louisiana home.Palmerhas an exceedingly predictable narrative, but is powerfully dramatic and incisive. The film confronts multiple difficult themes with a thoughtful, sensitive approach.Palmerdoesn’t offer many twists or turns, but leaves a solid impression.
