Interestingly, this season might see the trio investigating something more than just murder. A woman named Sofia approached the trio to ask for help regarding her missing husband at the end of last season. They turn her down, despite claims of a mysterious connection between said husband and the Arconia. So is this woman a suspect? Accomplice? Red herring? Only time will tell. Season 4 wrappedwith the trio solving the murder of Sazz Pataki as Oliver married his love interest Loretta (Meryl Streep). But things obviously didn’t stay happy for long.Soon after the wedding, they discovered the dead body of Lester in the building’s courtyard fountain. That technically makes this murder the first to take place just outside the building. That death would be creepy enough in itself, but it came right after an interaction with the enigmatic Sofia (Tea Leoni).

It’s not clear exactly what Sofia’s connection to the case is, but it’s likely that she’ll be a prime suspect in some way. But it’s also possible that her husband and Lester have suffered the same fate. If that’s the case, then she might ally herself with the trio. All we can do is speculate until we get more information or a full trailer. In any case, these murderers continue to be quite respectful by waiting until just after the previous case is solved to claim a new victim.

Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez have headlined each season as Charles Haden-Savage, Oliver Putnam, and Mabel Mora. Obviously,they’re all back for the new season. The series has also shown no trouble with assembling a wide array of A-list guests. Past recurring stars have included Zach Galifinakis, Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Paul Rudd, Tina Fey, Jane Lynch, Molly Shannon, Sting, and Melissa McCarthy.
