Lionsgate announced today that they will present new footage from their highly-anticipatedPower Rangersreboot during a panel at New York Comic Con next month, along with the action-packed sequelJohn Wick Chapter 2. Along with the announcement, Lionsgate released five new posters, featuring each of thePower Rangersstanding atop their massiveZords. While we can’t see these Zords in their entirety, it’s quite clear that these robots are quite massive.
In the Power Rangers universe, Zords are colossal mechanical or bio-mechanical robots piloted by the Rangers. The Zords come in many different forms. Some take the form of animals, both current, mythical, and extinct. Some of them are humanoid in appearance, such as the Shogunzords and Super Zeo Zords and others simply look like giant vehicles or other traditional machines. Concept art that leaked back in May 2015 teased that thePink Ranger’s Zord may be a Pterodactyl Zord, while the Red Ranger’s Zord is believed to be a Tyrannosaur.

Lionsgatewill host a power-packed panel that will feature the stars and filmmakers from the highly anticipated feature filmsJohn Wick: Chapter 2and Saban’sPower Rangersduring New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 8. Fans attending the hour-long panel will be treated to Q&A sessions with the cast and producers of Saban’sPower RangersandJohn Wick: Chapter 2, as well as exclusive, never-before-seen footage from both films. Those who cannot attend will be able to watch the panel LIVE on Twitch. It hasn’t been confirmed whichcast memberswill be in attendance for this panel quite yet.
The panel will take place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden Saturday, October 8 at 2:00 PM. Aside from the concept art that leaked last year, it was confirmed in July by directorDean Israelitethat this new movie will bring back theDinozordsand Alpha 5, the robotic assistant toBryan Cranston’s Zordon. It isn’t known if the Dinozords or Zordon will finally be revealed in the first footage that is showcased at New York Comic Con next month.

The cast is lead byDacre Montgomery(Jason the Red Ranger),Naomi Scott(Kimberley the Pink Ranger),RJ Cyler(Billy the Blue Ranger),Ludi Lin(Zach the Black Ranger) andBecky G(Trini the Yellow Ranger), alongsideElizabeth Banksas the villainousRita Repulsa.
