The full cast of Netflix’sBlockbusterhas been checked in. The upcoming comedy series, which has just started production, takes place in the last Blockbuster Video store in America. Featuring an ensemble cast led by Randall Park and Melissa Fumero, the show explores what it takes – and more specifically, who it takes – for a small business to succeed against all odds. The 10-episode series is created by Vanessa Ramos (Superstore,Brooklyn Nine-Nine) with David Caspe (Happy Endings,Black Monday) and Jackie Clarke (Superstore,Happy Endings) on board to serve as writers and executive producers. John Davis and John Fox will also executive produce for Davis Entertainment (Jungle Cruise).

Netflix has announced new series regulars. This includes Tyler Alvarez (Never Have I Ever,American Vandal,Orange Is the New Black) as Carlos: As a first-generation son of immigrants, he learned English by watching movies, and they quickly became his love language. He dreams of being a filmmaker but can’t help but feel like he owes it to his parents to live the American life they planned for him.

Also starring will be Madeleine Arthur (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before,Devil In Ohio,Big Eyes) as Hannah: She’s genuinely sweet, a little naive, yet undeniably charming. She lost her mom at a young age but is surrounded by family at Blockbuster. Financially savvy to a fault, the staff is helping her learn the importance of self-care.

Olga Merediz (In The Heights,Encanto,Somebody I Used to Know) rounds out the series regulars as Connie: She works at Blockbuster to make friends, not money. She’s the unintentionally blunt mother figure to not just the employees, but many of the Blockbuster regulars.

Blockbuster Character Details Have Been Revealed

New info on two recurring stars has also been revealed by Netflix. JB Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm,Spider-Man: No Way Home+Spider-Man: Far From Home,Mapleworth Murders) plays Percy: As the strip mall and party store owner, Percy sees himself as “the man with the plan.” He’s the fast-talking, stylish, over-confident other half of the best friend duo of Timmy and Percy, who can’t seem to stay away from Blockbuster, especially with his daughter working there.

Finally, the show will also feature Kamaia Fairburn (Overlord and the Underwoods,Endlings,Holly Hobbie) as Kayla: Kayla is Percy’s smart and sometimes scary teen daughter. She’s not super open to the idea of taking orders from anyone, which can make her working at Blockbuster complicated for Timmy.

“To say getting to make a show about a place I love, with my friends Jackie and David, and Randall Park as our star is a dream come true, somehow feels like an understatement,” Ramos said in a statement when the series was first announced. “I could not be more grateful to Jim [Donnelly] and Megan [Macmillan] at Universal for supporting this project since day one and Tracey, Andy [Weil], and the whole team at Netflix for being on board with so many weird jokes.”
