ActressMegan Fox(Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) will guest-star in a recurring role on the upcoming season ofNew Girl, appearing in a multi-episode arc of the hit comedy asZooey Deschaneltakes maternity leave.Megan Foxwill play “Reagan,” a gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep who comes to town on business and shakes things up in the loft when she rents outJess' (series star Zooey Deschanel) room while she is sequestered on jury duty.Megan Foxwill first appear in the sixth episode of the upcoming season, scheduled to premiere in January 2016. Taking a modern look at friendship and romance, New Girl returns forSeason 5with an uninterrupted run of all-new episodes. The series stars Emmy Award andGolden Globenominee Zooey Deschanel,Jake Johnson, Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone.Damon Wayans Jr., who appeared in the pilot as Coach, and then returned inNew Girl Season 3andSeason 4, won’t be back forSeason 5.
Megan Fox, whose global box-office tally is more than two billion dollars, is well-known for her break-out starring role of “Mikaela,” opposite Shia LaBeouf inTransformers, and the second film in the franchise,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. She was last seen starring inTeenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesandThis Is 40, opposite Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd, and directed by Judd Apatow.Megan Foxwill next be seen inZeroville, with James Franco, Will Ferrell and Seth Rogen. The film just sold at the Toronto International Film Festival for release next year. Also, Fox will reprise her role asApril O’NeilinTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2scheduled for release next summer.

In the upcomingSeason 5, New Girl will celebrate its landmark 100th episode. Additional guest stars in the upcoming season include Fred Armisen (Portlandia), Taran Killam (Saturday Night Live), Nasim Pedrad (Scream Queens), Rob Riggle (Fox NFL Sunday) and John Cho (Sleepy Hallow). Comedy icon Julie Hagerty (Airplane) will also be making an appearance. And so will TV legend Henry Winkler (Arrested Development, Happy Days). New Girl is produced by Chernin Entertainment in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Elizabeth Meriwether. Meriwether, Brett Baer, Dave Finkel, Jake Kasdan, Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope are executive producers, with Meriwether, Baer and Finkel serving as co-showrunners/writers and Kasdan directing multiple episodes of the series.
