Back in July, we reported that directorGeorge Miller’s long-awaitedblack and whiteversion ofMad Mad Fury Roadwill finally see the light of day, and now we know exactly when it’s arriving. The earlier report featured details about a German collector’s edition, but today Warner Bros. confirmed that the “Black and Chrome” edition ofMad Max Fury Roadwill be part of a four-film collection that includes everyMad Maxmovie. This set will be available December 6.
Mad Maxfans will have something to put atop their holiday gift lists with theMad Max High Octane Collection, debuting December 6 fromWarner Bros. Home Entertainment(WBHE). All four films from visionary directorGeorge Miller’s blockbuster sci-fi franchise –Mad Max(1979),Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior(1981);Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome(1985); andMad Max: Fury Road(2015), now withTom Hardyas Max Rockatansky – are together in one collection. WBHE will also release a “two-film collection” Blu-ray, with the theatrical, color version ofMad Max: Fury Roadand the “Black and Chrome” edition, which will be priced at $29.98 SRP.

TheMad Max High Octane Collectionis available to own in both Blu-ray ($79.99 SRP) and DVD ($54.97 SRP) versions. Both collections include the four films and five hours of bonus content, including the visually stunning Mad Max: Fury Road “Black & Chrome” Edition. TheBlu-ray collectionwill also include a 4K-Ultra HD version and a UV Digital Copy ofMad Max: Fury Road.
The High Octane Collection Special Features and Additions include the newMad Max: Fury Road"Black & Chrome" Edition, where fans can witness the surreal black and white version of mastermindGeorge Miller’sFury Road. There will also be a special introductory piece byGeorge Millerdescribing his vision. There will also be a featurette dubbed Road War, which takes fans back to 1982, where the world was blindsided byGeorge Miller’s masterpiece of apocalyptic destruction:The Road Warrior. The bonus features will also include Madness of Max, the previously releasedMad Max(1979) feature-length documentary on the making of arguably the most influential movie of the past thirty years.
