The long-awaited sequel to the 2022 horror filmM3GAN,M3GAN 2.0, has officially begun shooting. The screenwriting/directing duo formed by Akela Cooper and Gerard Johnstone will be back for the sequel, having worked on the 2022 film produced by Jason Blum through Blumhouse Productions. However, it is not all good news for fans of the franchise, as they will have just a little longer to wait than originally expected for the sequel to arrive.
Blum himself confirmed that things are now moving forward on the sequel, with filming underway in New Zealand on the return of the latest in a long line of iconic dolls-gone-bad.

The film was originally set for release in January 2025, but this has now been pushed back several months. As perDeadline, M3GAN 2.0 will land in cinemas on July 07, 2025. Several surviving cast members from M3GAN’s first rampage will be back for more this time around, including Allison Williams (also a producer)and Violet McGraw, who will return as Gemma and Cady, respectively. Brian Jordan Alvarez will be back as Cole, and Jenna Davis will once again provide M3GAN with her memorably creepy robotic voice. The new cast members for this second outing includes Ivanna Sakhno (Ahsoka), Timm Sharp (On the Verge,Percy Jackson and the Olympians), and Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Concords,What We Do in the Shadows).
