A pair of new images from the upcoming Amazon series,The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, gives us our first glimpse at two new characters: Theo and Bronwyn. Released byAmazon Studiosviathe official Twitter account for The Rings of Power,Theo is played by Australian actor Tyroe Muhafidin in his first major role, while Bronwyn will be portrayed by Nazanin Boniadi, who is best known for roles in the likes ofHomeland, How I Met Your Mother, Hotel Mumbai,andBombshell.
Theo is the son of Bronwyn, and what we do know is that they are a human mother and son, with Bronwyn working as a healer who owns an apothecary in the Southlands. And that’s all about all we know at present.

The rest of the cast forThe Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Powerwill be comprised of Robert Aramayo as Elrond, a half-Elven architect and politician; Owain Arthur as Durin IV, prince of the Dwarven city of Khazad-dûm; Nazanin Boniadi as Bronwyn, a human mother and healer who owns an apothecary in the Southlands; Ismael Cruz Córdova as Arondir, a Silvan Elf with a forbidden love for the human healer Bronwyn; Sophia Nomvete as Disa, princess of the Dwarven city of Khazad-dûm; Charlie Vickers as Halbrand, a human running from his past whose destiny is entwined with Galadriel’s; Charles Edwards as Celebrimbor, the Elven smith who forges the Rings of Power; and Benjamin Walker as Gil-galad, the High King of the Elves who rules from the realm of Lindon.
