Nearly two years after the release of the DC-based movie, fan excitement surrounding the Snyder Cut is stronger than it’s ever been, as the perception most fans seem to have is that Snyder’s original version would have turned out much greater than the theatrical release we ultimately got.

Taking to the social media platform Vero, Snyder reveals a sneak peek at a deleted scene featuring Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) and Iris West (Kiersey Clemons) to give us a look at one of the scenes we lost. After wrapping filming, Snyder had to step down from the project during post-production in the wake of a family tragedy. This opened the door for Joss Whedon to step in and finishJustice Leaguehimself, which involved writing many new scenes himself and ordering major reshoots. This heavily changed the creative direction of the movie as it was, also leaving some pivotal moments from theJustice League Snyder Cuton the cutting room floor. This resulted in The Flash having his story heavily changed while the Iris West character wound up getting cut entirely, killing what could have been a romantic sub-plot for the two. In the newly-released image of Barry and Iris, the two are locking eyes, with Snyder’s caption simply reading, “Cute couple.”

In addition to Snyder, there are other big names involved inJustice Leaguehoping to see the famous Snyder Cut one day become publicly available for DC fans to see.AquamanstarJason Momoa has seen the Snyder Cut, noting that he believes the “public needs to see it.” Lex Luthor actor Jesse Eisenberg has also revealed he shot more scenes for the movie that didn’t make it to theaters, leading fans to wonder what all else had been changed following Snyder’s exit from the project. In any case, the differences seem to be drastic enough to the point where Snyder refuses to watch the theatrical version of the movie.

At the end of the day, releasing the mysterious Snyder Cut of Justice Leagueis not up to the filmmaker. That decision will have to be made by Warner Bros., and at this time, there have been no plans announced from the studio about moving forward with the alternate cut of the controversial movie. With those involved now joining the fans in pressuring the studio to release it, we seem to be closer to seeing it happen than we’ve ever been before.
