If there’s one thing we’ve learned this past month, it’s that Netflix’sMarvelseries are more adult oriented. It was revealed last night that there won’t be much merchandising aimed at children when it comes to shows such asMarvel’s DaredevilandMarvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones, with these titles handled by Marvel Knights. And both are said to be much more realistic and violent thanMarvel’s The Avengersmovies and spinoffs. That is evident in the latest set photos from New York City. Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones is continuing to shoot in the streets, and it looks like starKrysten Ritterhas seen better days.
Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones is the second of theMarvelseries which will be streaming on Netflix. It will follow this April’s debut ofMarvel’s Daredevil, and like that show, it will contain 13 episodes. While no release date has been announced, it will show up in the later half of 2015. The show follows Jesssica Jones after her short, tragic career as a ‘hero-for-hire’. She sets out to rebuild her personal life, and becomes a detective. She is pulled into cases involving people with amazing abilities who also live in New York.
The show will crossover withLuke Cage, withMike Colterplaying the character on Jessica Jones. It will also be tied toMarvel’s Daredevil, but it isn’t known if either character will show up on the other’s show. The final Netflix series isIron Fist, which will set up the miniseries,The Defenders, which brings all four characters together in the same place. You can take a look as shooting continues on Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones. So far, we have not seen an official image from the series, and it isn’t known when we’ll get our first look at the rest of the cast which includesDavid Tennantas Kilgrave,Rachael Tayloras Patsy Walker,Carrie-Anne Mossas Harper, Eka Danville as Malcolm,Erin Moriartyas Hope, and Will Traval as a NYPD cop.
