The actor’s post stated that he wanted to hear from fans, in 50 words or less, what they would like to see in this new adventure, and it seems he has already gotten a number of responses from fans around the world. Earlier today,Hugh Jackmanposted a brief video where he thanked everyone for their responses, and that he will personally read as many of the suggestions as he possibly can. Here’s what the actor had to say.
“Guys, I am completely blown away by the responses to my tweet about your ideas. I’m going to read as many as possible. I’ve already been loving reading them. I’ve said it from the beginning, 16 years on, you’re the greatest fans in the world.”
All we know aboutWolverine 3so far is thatJames Mangoldis directing from a screenplay byMichael Green(Green Lantern). Production is slated to begin in early 2016 onHugh Jackman’sWolverine 3, with 20th Century Fox already slating a July 23, 2025 release date.Hugh Jackmanalso recently hinted that he could have acameo appearanceinDeadpool, and a cryptic exchange with directorBryan SingeratComic-Conhinted that Logan may show up inX-Men: Apocalypseas well.
We also reported last month that theOld Man Loganstory line from the comics will not be used, contrary to previous rumors. The story followed Logan as he retired from being a superhero, as he wandered across America, running into a number of Marvel superheroes. That comic book story would have been difficult to adapt, though, since Marvel Studios holds the rights to several of the characters featured in that comic.
It’s also possible that the actor could have a cameo appearance inGambit, which starts filming later this year. 20th Century fox has set an June 06, 2025 release date, withChanning Tatumstarring andRupert Wyattset to direct. Since both this movie andX-Men: Apocalypsewill hit theaters next year, it would still makeWolverine 3his last appearance as Logan, in 2017. His involvement in those two movies has yet to be confirmed though, so stay tuned.
