Last night, The CW aired a half-hour special entitled Justice League where DC’sGeoff Johnsand directorKevin Smithshed some new light on the films leading up toJustice League Part 1andJustice League Part 2. The most anticipated part of this special was the debut of the secondSuicide Squad trailer, but before the trailer arrived, we also got another glimpse of the highly-anticipatedSuicide Squad, along with a preview of the long-awaitedGreen Lantern Corps., which doesn’t hit theaters until 2020.Geoff Johnsconfirmed thatGreen Lantern Corps.will in fact be part of theJustice Leaguewith a brief statement, which you can check out below.

“We’ve been to these cities, we’ve been underwater, but there’s one place we haven’t been to: space. But now we are. So the Green Lanterns and theGreen Lantern Corps.are coming to join theJustice Leagueuniverse.”

Last night, we showed you other previews from this special that showcasedAquaman,FlashandCyborg, all of whom were seen on new concept art featuring everyJustice Leaguemember, except the members of theGreen Lantern Corps.. We don’t know quite yet which members ofGreen Lantern Corps.will be most prominently featured in the two-partJustice Leaguemovie, but with production scheduled to begin at the end of this year, hopefully we’ll find out more details very soon.

TheSuicide Squadpreview features brief interviews with starsMargot Robbie(Harley Quinn),Will Smith(Deadshot),Joel Kinnaman(Rick Flagg), and evenJared Leto, who reveals that his iconic character The Joker is not someone who should be messed with.Geoff Johnsalso reveals that The Joker “isn’t exactly” a member of this squad, which explains why he wasn’t pictured as part of the group in thenew posterthat debuted yesterday.

As forGreen Lantern Corps., the brief glimpses of concept art teases several different characters who take up the Green Lantern mantel, but no casting announcements have been made yet. There have previously been rumors that the movie will feature both Hal Jordan and John Stewart, two of the most well-known characters to play the Emerald Crusader, but no details have been confirmed quite yet.
