The first image for the upcoming sequel series,Avatar: Seven Havens, which takes place afterAvatar: The Last AirbenderandThe Legend of Korra, was unveiled by Nickelodeon during the panel discussion. The teaser photo shows the new Earthbender, Pavi, accompanied by her mentor, Jae, and a cute furry companion. The world around them almost looks dystopian, which makes fans wonder what has happened in the years following the events ofThe Legend Korrea.

A new series in the ‘Avatar’ franchise has been announced as a follow-up to the ‘Legend of Korra.’ Here’s what we know.
But wait, there’s more. Hold on to your cabbages,Avatarfans, because the originalAvatar: The Last Airbendercreators, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are returning for the new spinoff series. Also, the new animated show will consist of 26 half-hour episodes that will be split into two seasons. So, what is the storyline forAvatar: Seven Havens?Here is the official synopsis for the upcoming sequel series:

“Seven Havens follows two Earthbending twins when one discovers she’s the Avatar, the latest person who can wield all four elements — air, water, earth and fire. The new series is set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm. A young Earthbender discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra – but in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse.”
There Is More ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Content on the Way
In case you didn’t know, the second and third seasons of Netflix’s live-adaptation ofAvatar: The Last Airbenderare currently in production. Back in May, Netflix confirmed that the second season had officially wrapped filming and should arrive in early 2026. “We’re looking forward to working with all of our actors again and digging into the deeper, more complicated relationships that develop as their journey continues in Season 2,” executive producers Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani shared withNetflix’s Tudumin February. However, season three is still in the works and a release date has not been confirmed yet. And there is an animated movie titledThe Legend of Aang: The Last Airbenderset to be released in October 2026. In this saga, the film will follow Aang and his friends during adulthood. The cast will include some familiar faces, such as Eric Nam (Aang), Jessica Matten (Katara), Roman Zaragoza (Sokka), Dionne Quan (Toph) and Steven Yeun and Dave Bautista are confirmed to play evil villains.
