Now that AMC’sThe Walking Deadhas returned to close out the back half ofSeason 6, the network is starting to promote new episodes of its spinoffFear the Walking Dead. The network announced last month thatSeason 2willpremiereSunday, April 10 at 9 PM ET, and while we wait for this harrowing drama to continue, Yahoo! TV has debuted a new 15-second trailer that teases some intriguing new developments. If you haven’t caught up with the first season of Fear the Walking Dead, there will be SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.
The first season ofFear the Walking Deadended with Travis, Madison, Alicia (Alycia Debnam Carey), Nick (Frank Dillane) and Daniel (Rubén Blades) getting ready to escape Los Angeles on Strand’s (Colman Domingo) massive yacht. Thisnew trailerfeatures an intriguing shot of Madison (Kim Dickens) running on the beach carrying some supplies, which could indicate that she’s actually trying to escape from the massive yacht. We see a number of zombies emerging from the sea, along with a group of waterlogged walkers, which likely means their swimming skills aren’t so good. This season will also introduce new cast members such asDougray Scott, Daniel Zovatto, Arturo del Puerto and Veronica Diaz.
Fear the Walking Dead will air its second season of 15 episodes in two parts, beginning with the first of seven episodes on Sunday, April 10th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The remaining eight episodes will air later in 2016. The series, which delivered the highest-rated first season of any series in cable history among total viewers and all key demos in live+3 ratings, is executive produced by showrunner Dave Erickson,Robert Kirkman,Gale Anne Hurd,Greg Nicoteroand David Alpert and starsKim Dickensas Madison,Cliff Curtisas Travis,Cliff Curtisas Nick,Alycia Debnam Careyas Alicia, Rubén Blades as Daniel,Mercedes Masöhnas Ofelia, Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris and Colman Domingo as Strand.
