Are the web seriesFlight 462andFear the Walking Deadabout to have a head on collision? That idea is teased in the first trailer forFear the Walking Dead, which is set to debut all-new episodes this April. Last summer, whenFear the Walking Deaddebuted on AMC, the first six episodes contained mini-sodes forFlight 462during the commercial breaks. The short episodes introduced a new recurring character that will appear onFear the Walking Dead, but we were never told who it would be. This character is said to join the small band of Los Angeles-based survivors as they continue their way through the early stages of the zombie apocalypse. And it appears the show will waste no time in setting up this story arc. Perhaps even in its firstSeason 2episode.
There were eight installments of Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462. The minute-long interludes showed several passengers on an airplane, trapped with an infected member of the undead. Over onFear the Walking Dead, theSeason 1finale showed the survives attempting to get to a boat out in the middle of the ocean. This new footage shows the plane soaring over the water. And it looks like it’s headed for a crash. Will the boat passengers save some of the flight crew? That sure seems like the grand idea.
This newFear the Walking Deadteaser doesn’t offer much in the way of dialogue. Instead, we see clips from some of those first six episodes. And we get a sense of what happened to Travis and his blended family as the zombie virus spread across the world. We’re sure that they’ll be meeting some new survivors as these latest episodes progress. But we’re still not sure who the main character fromFlight 462will be, as the web series set up two main protagonists in Michelle Ang’s Charlie and Brendan Meyer’s texting teenager Jake. There is also Sheila Shaw’s Connie, whose urgent need to use the restroom set the stage for all the zombie on a plane action.
Fear the Walking Deadwill air itssecond seasonof 15 episodes in two parts, beginning with the first of seven episodes on Sunday, April 10th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
