Warner Bros.' belovedHarry Potterfranchise came to an end back in 2011 withHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, and while it remains uncertain if we’ll ever see the magician on the big screen again, fans will get a different glimpse at this magical world next year. The studio is releasingFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Themnext November, which is currently in production and is set 70 years beforeHarry Potterand his friends ever set foot in Hogwarts.Entertainment Weeklyspoke withDavid Heyman, a producer on all eightHarry Potter, who revealed thatFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Themis most comparable to the fourth Potter movie, 2005’sHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, directed byMike Newell.
“[Fantastic Beastshas] got the charm of the fourth. It’s like the fourth. Mike talked about the fourth as being like an Indian musical - and it’s not that, but it’s got the humor of that film. It has the romantic comedy, that fish-out-of-water humor, that very human, natural character comedy. And now (director)David (Yates)is always looking for truthful, human moments, it’s never just a gag, he’s grounding [the storytelling moments] in a reality. [Beasts] is very funny, it’s got a big heart, and there’s darkness too.”
