Long before theComic-Conschedule was announced last week,Doctor StrangedirectorScott Derricksonteased that his comic book adaptation would be heading to San Diego. While Marvel hasn’t confirmed what movies will be showcased during their Hall H panel on Saturday, July 23,Doctor Strangewill surely be in the mix, and today we have word that fans attending the convention will get to take home a new poster featuring the Sorcerer Supreme in action. If you’re going to SDCC next week, be sure to stop by the Marvel booth to pick up this poster.

Entertainment Weeklyhas our first look at this poster, which features productionconcept artfrom artistRyan Meinerding. The site also caught up with the actor while visiting the set earlier this year, where he was asked to compare this iconic Marvel Comics hero to another beloved character he plays,Sherlockon the hit BBC TV series. Here’s what he had to say, when asked what both characters have in common.

We recently got confirmation thatMads Mikkelsen’s mysterious villain is in factKaecilius, which many had speculated for some time. A prequel comic dubbed Marvel’sDoctor StrangePrelude revealed that Kaecilius was a former Master of the Mystic Arts, working with The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) and Wong (Benedict Wong). Hopefully we’ll get to see more of this character in action with new footage that may debut at SDCC next weekend.
