Natalie Dormer is rumored to joinThe Witcherseason 2. The source of this rumor stems from the website Redanian Intelligence, which also accurately reported on the rumored casting of Dormer’s fellowGame of Thronesstar Kristofer Hivju before the news was officially confirmed. Though this is far from an official verification that Dormer will be featured inThe Witcher, the outlet reveals a photograph taken near the set which might suggest the actress is involved with the show’s production - or at least on location to visit with some friends.

Said to be posted by a key member of the casting department forThe Witcher, an Instagram photo shows two women riding black horses near the production of the show’s second season. An accompanying caption reads: “When you remember every day is basically a Saturday onThe Witcher. Bring [crew member] andNatalie Dormer laughing, dancing and riding horses!” Due to the quality of the image, it’s difficult to verify if one of the two women is in fact Dormer. Of course, even if it is Dormer on theWitcherset, she may have just stopped by if she was in the area to have some fun with the horses.

If Dormer has been cast inThe Witcher, she wouldn’t be the firstGame of Thronesalum to be featured in season 2. As previously reported,Kristofer Hivju has been cast to play the role of Nivellen, a man cursed to live his days in isolation as a freakish bear-like creature. Of course,Game of Thronesfans know Hivju very well as the fan favorite character Tormund Giantsbane, who was one of the few popular characters to make it through the entire series alive. Sadly, the same cannot be said for Dormer’s Margaery Tyrell. The rest of the new cast continues to take shape as well, as Kim Bodnia recently signed on to play the role of Vesemir.

As stressed above, Dormer has not been officially announced as a part of theNetflixcast forThe Witcherseason 2, but the rumor is fun to think about. WatchingGame of Thronescome to an end may have been bittersweet for many fans, butThe Witcherwill make for a great follow-up show for Hivju and possibly Dormer, if the rumors are true. For what it’s worth, the potential casting has my full support. This news comes to us fromRedanian Intelligence.
