Kove has already gone on record promising a satisfying and even redeeming conclusion for the saga’s baddie. And while Hurwitz might not have anything that intriguing to offer, the co-showrunner and co-creator does address landing the “mothership” effectively. Hurwitz said in an interview withThe Hollywood Reporter:

“It’s hard for us to say exactly what Part 2 is and what Part 3 is.But we can say that, going into Part 2, we’re in Barcelona at the Sekai Taikai, and we have the biggest, craziest martial arts tournament that has existed in The Karate Kid franchise. You’re not going to see just the same traditional events that you’ve seen at all the All Valleys."

Hurwitz, who co-created and serves as the co-showrunner along with Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg, continued during the same sit down (below):

“There’s a lot more going on, both on and off the mat.So, there’s a lot of fun to be had and, as we head into the third drop,I can’t speak to the specifics… but the goal in the final episodes is to land this mothership —to land Johnny and Daniel’s stories. And the stories of these kids.”

Daniel & Johnny’s ‘Fulfilling and Exciting Conclusion’

Cobra KaiSeason 6 — Part 1’s finale upped the ante as Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) arrived in Barcelona, Spain, for the worldwide Sekai Taika karate tournament. And fans were left with the cliffhanger of seeing Miyagi-Do realize John Kreese (Kove) and Cobra Kai would be competing in the event. Plus, everyone was left with their jaws dropping to the floor when and whyTory (Peyton List) joined her Cobra Kai teammatesduring the squads' introductions.

There are a lot of storylines to tie up as Season 6 moves into Part 2 this November and Part 3 sometime in 2025. ButCobra Kaico-creator and co-showrunner Jon Hurwitz is well aware of the awesome responsibility he and his colleagues must bear when it comes to giving the die-hard fans the Crane-kicking series finale enthusiasts all deserve. Hurwitz said in the same interview with THR:

“For the kids, it’s their senior year of high school, and we wanted to take them through that year and have the Johnny and Daniel story that started in 1984 come to a fulfilling and exciting conclusion. That doesn’t mean that we won’t be able to see these characters again in the future, but it’s where we finished telling the story of Cobra Kai the series, and we can’t wait for people to see what we have in store.”

Cobra Kai Season 6 Posts Series-Low RT Audience Score

Cobra Kai Season 6 currently holds the dubious honor of posting the worst Rotten Tomatoes audience score of the entire streaming series.

Mike Barnes tried making things rightupon his Season 6 return, and there are several moreKarate Kidcharacters whom fans are still waiting to see who did not appear in Season 6 — Part 1. Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) returns to Okinawa, so it’s highly likely that Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) will appear at some point during the final 10 episodes.

Plus, Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) was talked about, but he’s never seen rotting in prison during Part 1. Plus, Oscar-winner Hilary Swank’s Julie Pierce is long overdue, and it’s likely there’s information aboutThe Next Karate Kidhidden away in Mr. Miyagi’s (Pat Morita) secret box. And with expectations at an all-time high, it’s surely in the minds of all three showrunners what the fans want and expect fromCobra Kai’sswan song.

Cobra KaiSeason 6 — Part 2 drops November 15 onNetflix,while Part 3 will premiere inFebruary 2025.
