There has been a lot of speculation about the cameos of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in the final season of spin-off showBetter Call Saul. As the last episodes prepare to start rolling out on AMC, actorBryan Cranstonhas been teasing exactly how the pair will make their long awaited return to theBreaking Baduniverse.
Better Call Saulhad been every bit as popular as the show it was inspired by, and having followed Bob Odenkirk’s dubious lawyer across five seasons, the sixth season has brought the show to within touching distance of Walt and Jesse. While showrunner Peter Gould has confirmed that both actors will appear in a way no one has yet guessed, Bryan Cranston toldSiriusXM’s Basic!podcast a little more about the way the pair feature in the show. He explained:

“There’s a scene that Aaron is in without me. And there’s a scene where I’m in without him. And then there’s a scene where we’re both in. So there’s three scenes to come. It’s pretty cool. But to be honest with you — because we shot everything in a bubble and completely out of sequence — I don’t even know what episodes we’re in (laughs). You’re gonna find out.
They flew us in privately into Albuquerque, went to a private area of the airport, [and] as soon as we got off the plane, there was an SUV waiting for us at the steps. So the last step onto the tarmac was two steps and then into the car. We were completely cloaked. It’s very Breaking Bad. It was exciting because no one knew, or could know, that we were in town.”

Bob Odenkirk Teased Multiple Walt and Jesse Scenes Last Month
While Bryan Cranston has broken down that theBreaking Badcameo appearances are not a one shot moment,Better Call Saullead Bob Odenkirk already hinted that Walt and Jesse would appear on more than one occasion in the final episodes of season six. In a previous interview, Odenkirk said:
“[It was] so good. Seeing Bryan and Aaron playing Walt and Jesse… It’s not just one time… And it was great. Well, I know what happens. I can’t tell you. If I were to tell you where he is today, you’d know… But it’s sad to see him go. He’s still alive in my heart and I’ll see what happens over the next few episodes. You’ll see…"
Although this is the end for theBreaking Badfranchise for now, that is not likely to last for long as there are already plans in place to develop more spin-offs from the series. While there has been no exact word on what these may focus on or when they can be expected, AMC’s Dan McDermott previously said that they would be leaving the door open for more drama from theBreaking Baduniverse if the creators and stars were on board. WithBetter Call Saulproving every bit as popular as its predecessor, it is probably not going to be too long before we are revisiting the world again.
