There are just six episodes left ofBetter Call Saul, and as it has already been announced that Walter White and Jesse Pinkman will appear in season 6, fans know to expect Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul to show up in the final episodes. Throughout the first five seasons of the prequel series, various characters fromBreaking Badhave appeared in different capacities. Characters like Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) and Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) are main characters, while others like Hank Schraeder (Dean Norris), Lydia Rodarte-Quayle (Laura Fraser), and Gale Boetticher (David Costabile) have had more limited cameos.
But not once have Walt and Jesse crossed over into theBreaking Badprequel series. It was announced ahead of season 6 that the characters would indeed return, but it’s still unclear how big of a role they will play in the final episodes. ViaMetro, Saul Goodman actorBob Odenkirkhas since teased that fans won’t just simply see these beloved characters one time, seemingly suggesting that there will be multiple scenes involving the prolific meth cookers. As Odenkirk says of the “full circle” moment:
“[It was] so good. Seeing Bryan and Aaron playing Walt and Jesse… It’s not just one time… And it was great.”
Fans are waiting to see what happens next when the midseason premiere arrives next month. Odenkirk can’t give out any spoilers, but regardless of how his story ends, the actor has found it emotional to say farewell to the character.
“Well, I know what happens. I can’t tell you. If I were to tell you where he is today, you’d know… But it’s sad to see him go. He’s still alive in my heart and I’ll see what happens over the next few episodes. You’ll see…”

Bob Odenkirk Feels Lucky to Have Played Saul Goodman
This role has been very special for Bob Odenkirk. While playing Saul Goodman inBreaking BadandBetter Call Saulhas allowed him to delve into more dramatic acting, he also appreciates that the character has consistently brought comic relief into this universe. That allows Odenkirk to get the best of both worlds, and it’s a role that makes Saul very much unlike any other character the veteran actor has portrayed. Odenkirk feels lucky to have gotten the part and says he doesn’t “deserve” the special role.
“The variety. The variety of this character. I get to do pure comedy, and then two pages later, intense drama. It’s all mixed together. There’s never going to be a part that has this much dynamic range in it. I was very lucky. I didn’t deserve it!”
Fans will of course disagree with that assessment, as Odenkirk has been phenomenal with his portrayal of Saul Goodman. AMC recently started its promotional push forOdenkirk to be nominated for an Emmyfor the final season of the series.
