She is also well-known for playing the iconic character Gemma Teller Morrow on the hit FX dramaSons of Anarchyfor Seven Seasons. What some fans might not known is that she actually starred as Kaley Cuoco’s mother on the ABC sitcom8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter(which, in its third and final season became known as8 Simple Rules). That show ran between 2002 and 2005, coming to an end after the untimely death of leading man John Ritter. Now,The Big Bang Theory Season 10is set to give us the8 Simple Rulesreunion we’ve been waiting for.

Yes, in the new episodes debuting this fall,Katey Sagalwill once again playKaley Cuoco’s on-screen mother. And this will mark the first time we’ve ever seen Penny’s mom on screen.Katey Sagalwill star as Susan, it was announced Friday at Comic-Con during theshow’s writers' panel. Susan is described as such.

“[She is] stressed out and neurotic from a life with her troubled son.”

And guess who will be playing that son? According toDeadline, another sitcom veteran, that’s who! Yes,30 Rockalum Jack McBrayer will be playing slightly against type as former drug dealer and ex-con Randall. Though it should be noted that McBrayer is being asked to bring his cheerful, always sunny demeanor to the role for what should prove to be one likable ex-junkie. In previous episodes ofBig Bang, we have been introduced toPenny’s likable Dad Wyatt, played by Keith Carradine.

Katey Sagal is also known for her voice work on the iconic Fox animated sitcomFuturama, and is an established singer.Jack McBrayermost recently teamed up with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog for the Cartoon Network Adult Swim sitcomThe Jack and Triumph Show. He also appeared on the IFC sitcom Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, along with The Middle and several episodes of Drunk History. Both Sagal and McBrayer will be making their debut onThe Big Bang TheorySeason 10 Season Premiere, which debuts on CBS Monday, September 19.
