Andoris, without question, thebestStar Warsproject of the last decade. The writing is flawless, the production design is stunning, and the score is just the cherry on top of the cake. Yet, one of the reasons why we adored the show so much was because of its roster of characters.Star Warsis already home to some of thebest characters in sci-fi movie history, andAndoroffers up a few more to that list. Each character is intricately detailed.

The performances are sensational and the depth of these characters are second to none. So without further ado, here are the best characters from theDisney+ originalStar Warsseries,Andor.

Bix Caleen - Andor

10Bix Caleen

There are few characters inStar Warsas loyal as Bix Caleen. She will do anything for her friends, and not even being horrifically tortured by the Empire will change that. Bix is fierce, confident, and an all-round badass. She hates the Empire from the center of her core, as do most of the Galaxy, and it’s that hatred for the Empire that makes her tough.

She is one of Andor’s only allies, and her integrity and network has helped keep Andor alive on many occasions. Adria Arjona was fantastic in the role, and helped us adore her character so much more.

Brasso - Andor

Brasso, played by Joplin Sibtain, is a kind, caring, hard-working, determined and a loyal friend. Much like Bix, Brasso had a close friendship with Andor and his adoptive family, Maarva, and B2-EMO. Brasso went to town against the Empire during the show’s sensational finale. He proved his hatred to the Empire and a spark in the Rebellion was lit that day that sent a roaring flame across the entirety of Ferrix, the planet that Maarva, B2-EMO, Andor, Bix and Brasso reside on.

His relationship with B2-EMO or “Bee” is incredibly sweet and proves that Brasso has more to him that his tough demeanor would let on.

B2-EMO - Andor

What’s aStar Warsproject without an adorable andiconic droidor alien for audiences to fall in love with? Well,Andor’sanswer to this is B2-EMO. B2 is absolutely adorable. His unwavering loyalty to Maarva and Andor makes for a fantastic companion, and the worry and earnestness in his voice when asking about Andor when he is running away, and when Maarva sadly dies.

B2’s persona can somewhat be compared to a pet, more specifically a dog. He is a droid we all love, and although he may look a little like a large red garbage can, he is a droid we have by our side any day.

Karis Nemik - Andor

7Karis Nemik

When Andor arrives on Aldhani to help the small band of Rebels successfully steal from Aldhani’s Imperial Garrison, Karis Nemik is one of the Rebels who instantly stands out. His sweet innocence and wonder made us immediately fall head over heels for his character. Played to perfection by Alex Lawther, Nemik is a fantastic genius, and undoubtedly lovable character in the show, and a deeply important one, at that. His death was devastating and broke all of our hearts. However, if it wasn’t for Nemik, Andor would never have receivedNemik’s Manifesto, which could be a very important key in taking down the Empire.

The Narkina 5 arc inAndorhas gone down in history as one of the greatest moments in theStar Warsuniverse, and perhaps the biggest reason for that is Kino Loy. Kino Loy is a stickler for the rules and always does as told in order to live out his sentence and be free from the hellish prison, Narkina 5, in no time. However, when Andor and Kino Loy tragically learn that no one is ever getting out. They work together to plot an escape.

Andy Serkis as Kino Loy in the Star Wars series Andor

Kino’s character changes when he says “Never more than 12”, always sends a shiver down the spines of fans, no matter how many times they have seen this moment. So does his empowering speech that allowed the prisoners of Narkina 5 to overrun the prison and escape. Andy Serkis was phenomenal in the role, and Kino Loy wouldn’t have worked as well as he did, without him. One way out! One way out!

5Dedra Meero

Imperial Officers are the scum of theStar Warsuniverse. The selfish, snobby-nosed officers sit in their comfy offices and order others around. However, there are a few exceptions, most notably, Dedra Meero, played brilliantly by Denise Gough. As much as we wanted to hate Dedra Meero for being an Imperial Officer, we just couldn’t. Meero is an incredibly determined, fierce, and resourceful Imperial Officer, and thanks to her development and the empowering performance from Gough, Meero is one of the best characters to come from the show.

4Luthen Rael

Luthen Rael is perhaps one of the most compelling characters in the show. We don’t know too much about him, other than the fact he has sacrificed everything for the Rebellion, as his sensational monologue suggests. He is a proficient pilot, who single-handedly destroyed numerous Imperial ships, and when he is not destroying Imperial ships, Luthen owns and operates Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest, a gallery that serves as a money laundering and meeting place for the Rebel Alliance.

Stellan Skarsgård takes up the role of Luthen, and of course, he was fantastic.

3Cassian Andor

How could we make a list of the best characters in theAndorseries, without talking about the man himself, Cassian Andor. Cassian begins his journey as looking for his sister, which leads him to kill two police officers, sending him on a journey evading the authorities and finding the Rebellion along the way. Andor was already a fascinating character inRogue One, butAndorgave Cassian far more growth and development, making us adore him even more.

Diego Luna does another brilliant job playing Cassian Andor, delving into his character’s insecurities, growing into the badass Rebellion agent he was inRogue One.

2Maarva Andor

Maarva Andor, Cassian’s adoptive mother, is an incredibly inspiring character. She absolutely despises the Empire, and even after her death, she still plots to take them down. Her monologue, at the end of the show, will run audiences through a wide range of emotions. You will tear up, and you will feel the Rebellion spark light up in your blood, as you yourself will want to charge through your screen and give the Empire the beating they deserve. Fiona Shaw delivers a fantastic performance as Maarva, and brings a gravitas to her character, making her one of the best characters in the show.

1Mon Mothma

As one of thebest female characters inStar Wars,Mon Mothma stole the show. Seeing Mothma wean her way up into the government, all while trying to topple the Empire and starting the Rebellion, is nothing short of mesmerizing. We could happily watch an entire show on that. Mon Mothma has been inStar Warsever since 1983’sReturn of the Jedi. However, she has never really had a chance to shine untilAndor.Genevieve O’Reilly gives one of the best performances inStar Warshistory, showcasing Mothma’s tenacity as well as delivering some exceptional monologues.
