TheJames Bondfranchise is more in flux than ever before following Amazon’s takeover, and it will need the perfect actor to take over the role of 007 and lead the series into this new era. While the likes ofKraven the Hunterstar Aaron Taylor-Johnson,The Gentlemen’sTheo James, and former Superman Henry Cavill remain the favorites, James Bond expert and superfan Graham Rye thinks a certain unknown actor is the only correct choice…

Amazon’s Plans For James Bond’s “Non-Woke” Future Reportedly Revealed
James Bond’s future has never been less certain, but a new claim has suggested fan fears could be unfounded.
“There’s only one actor out there at the moment that can do justice to this. He’s Scottish and his name is Stuart Martin.”

Martin has seen his chances rise rapidly recently, with Rye even going on to liken the actor, and his potential as James Bond, to that of the beloved original, saying he could play 007 “very much in the vein of Sean Connery.”
Is Stuart Martin the Right Choice To Take On the 007 Mantle?
Stuart Martin is best recognized for roles in several Zack Snyder projects, includingRebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire, Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver, Army of Thieves, and theanimated seriesTwilight of the Gods. Outside of Snyder, Martin has starred in the likes of the period dramaMiss Scarlet, the horror movieDampyr, and this year’s acclaimed dramaSurviving Earth. The actor has several small-screen projects in the pipeline, including the thriller seriesAtomicand the action thriller showIn Flight.
Martin has seen his odds improve since beingname-dropped by a Los Angeles movie consultantwho has worked on the James Bond franchise in the past. The source revealed that “Stuart is the name that has been discussed in Bond circles by those in the know. He is in serious contention.” However, they did stipulate that “no-one will confirm this because Eon goes all out to deny and shy away from anything concerning casting, but it would be an amazing milestone to have a Scottish Bond again.”

While we await further updates regarding what Amazon has planned for James Bond, and who they will choose to take over the iconic role following Daniel Craig’s swansong in 2021’sNo Time to Die, several former 007 stars have weighed in following the franchise’s monumental changing of the guard.
Pierce Brosnan, who has teased interest in potentiallyreturning to the role as an aged takeon the iconic spy, has said it’s “a given” thatBond should remain British, adding, “It takes great courage for them to let go. They will still have a say in matters. I hope that [Amazon] handles the work and the character with dignity and imagination and respect.” While fellowformer Bond Timothy Dalton shared his disappointmentwith the move, saying, “Barbara is one of the best women in the whole world. I think she’s fantastic. Around a Bond movie, everyone’s got an opinion. That tends to make something less special, but if you keep it to people who know what they’re doing and know what they want, then it will sharpen up and be good. Barbara had that.”
